Riccardo Della Ragione, Music therapist and Composer

Riccardo Della Ragione, music therapist and composer, has dedicated himself to musical research in all its forms, from artistic to therapeutic expression. Composer of music for cinema and television, he worked for RAI 1 and RAI 2 as composer, performer and conductor, he composed music for films released in cinemas between 2000 and 2015, his latest works are CDs of soundtracks distributed worldwide by the Italian Warner Music. In the 90s, after attending the Music Therapy course of Dr. Fabrizio De Lucia of the Meyer hospital in Florence, he deepened his training by studying vibroacoustic therapy and becoming one of the most accredited references at the European level. He collaborates with the Hospitals and with the CNR of Pisa, a structured work that has led him to patent the AcusticA chaise longue. This sound chair is a real musical instrument that makes resonating the various parts of the body in relation to the frequencies contained in the music tracks. The research developed and the technology used in the acoustic chair "AcusticA" was also adopted in the researches developed by the Politecnico di Milano for the project PiezoMusiColor by Professor Giuseppe Caglioti, by the CNR of Pisa and on applications related to the physical stimulation of sound within the Hospitals.

"AcusticA" has also become a fundamental element for Snoezelen therapy in multi-sensory stimulation rooms, realized in recent years for neurodegenerative diseases and psychomotor disabilities. Today vibroacoustic therapy is used with great results even in the Wellness and Spa Centers of the world. "AcusticA" has also been inserted into the sound room inside the area dedicated to sensory stimulation realized inside the MUSE, the Science Museum of Trento designed by Renzo Piano.
